Love Island‘s Cara De La Hoyde and Olivia Buckland were forced to come face-to-face on Wednesday as they both arrived at the same star-studded event.

The reality TV favourites recently fell out after Olivia decided to remove Cara as a bridesmaid, with Nathan Massey‘s fiancee choosing not to attend her wedding to Alex Bowen as a result, and branding the decision “embarrassing”.

Now they have had an awkward run in for the first time, as they were both spotted celebrating the launch of Stacey Solomon‘s new Primark range at Ace Hotel in Shoreditch.

An eyewitness told OK! online that while the pair were both among the first celebrities to arrive at the bash, they made sure to avoid each other at all costs.

“Cara and Olivia just seemed to be staying clear of each other,” the insider said. “At one point Cara went to the bar, and Olivia was just two people away – but Liv quickly left with a mate.

“They were among the first few to arrive, but stayed at opposite ends of the room from then on. Olivia left after just 40 minutes.”

The pair’s awkward encounter comes just a matter of weeks after Cara confirmed she had not attended Olivia’s nuptials following their fallout, despite a whole host of famous faces including Gabby Allen, Pete Wicks and Kady McDermott attending.

Speaking to OK! Online about Olivia’s decision to revoke her bridesmaid role, Cara said at the time: “I don’t think I could do that to someone and still expect them to come to the wedding. I think it’s a bit embarrassing.”

She added: “I am upset, I didn’t expect it, I didn’t know that it was going to happen. We literally just got back from the hen do so to me it was a massive shock.”

As they arrived at the lavish bash, both stars took to social media to inform fans that they were in attendance, but both chose not to mention that they were in each other’s company.

Sharing a snap from a photo booth at the event with her 1.1 million Instagram followers, Cara appeared to be having a great time at the party despite the awkward moment, as she posed alongside her pal and makeup artist James Johnson.

Meanwhile, Olivia showed she wasn’t phased by the run in either as she posed under a flower display, smiling and sassily flicking her hair.

In another shot, a carefree Olivia could be seen clinking glasses with a pal.
