Stacey Dooley, 31, has been wowing on the dancefloor with her professional dancing partner Kevin Clifton, 36, and the pair have been at the top of the leaderboard on a regular basis on the BBC show.
The red-haired beauty has hit back after it was reported that her boyfriend, Sam Tucknott, was concerned about the journalist dancing on Strictly Come Dancing in case it resulted in the downfall of their relationship.
The documentary maker took to social media to show that her beau has nothing to worry about after sources reportedly told The Sun: “Sam has been quite vocal about her dancing with a single man and was really paranoid that they were going to split because of the show.”
They added: “[Stacey] says he has become insanely jealous even though she insisted there was nothing for him to worry about.
“Kevin and Stacey are very close, as is inevitable through the course of a show like Strictly, but they’re just trying to focus on winning the series.”
In response to the rumours, Stacey uploaded a snap to her 425,000 followers of the couple sleeping as they sit next to each other on a plane.
She simply captioned the photo with a fist emoji.
Fans of the star rallied behind her as they posted words of comfort in the comments box.
One wrote: “Just ignore the papers…they do this every year to the Strictly contestants! You’re doing brilliantly! @sjdooley to win.”
Another added: “I’m sad your even having to post this. I’ve just read the articles that’s not sam at all! Big love to you both. They will move on next week to another couple…”
“@sjdooley @sam_tux you guys rock!” posted a supportive follower.
Zoe Ball, who presents Strictly’s spin-off show It Takes Two, even showed her support for the contestant as she posted two heart emoji’s onto the picture.
