Earlier this week on Emmerdale, Joe Tate was seen fleeing the village after Graham Foster warned him that Kim Tate wanted him in the dead.
Due to his departure, Joe, played by actor Ned Porteous, left fiancé Debbie Dingle waiting at the altar ahead of their surprise wedding.
As Debbie discovered that Joe had scarpered, her dad Cain Dingle threatened to kill him if he ever returned – unaware that he was doing so that very minute.
Just as Cain’s chilling threat rang out on screens, Joe was seen walking along a country road, having seemingly abandoned the car he was driven off in the episode before.
As he came to a crossroads, with one path leading to Emmerdale and another leading to Hotten, Joe picked the path to Emmerdale, perhaps sealing his own fate.
Rushing to social media after the scenes aired, fans expressed their concern for Joe’s welfare as he now has both Cain and Kim wanting him dead.
Taking to Twitter, one posted: “Uh oh! Cain’s after you Joe! Turn around #Emmerdale @emmerdale.”
While another wrote: “I’m sure the two Dingles falling out will be Cain and Debbie over Joe. #emmerdale”
“Catching up on #Emmerdale does Joe die or something? I hope not,” added a third.
Joe isn’t the only character who could potentially be in danger this week, as it’s already been confirmed that Kim will be at the centre of a dramatic whodunnit.
The iconic villain is set to be pushed down the stairs in an upcoming Emmerdale episode, with several characters set to have the finger pointed at them.
Emmerdale continues weeknights at 7pm on ITV.
