Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Katya Jones was caught kissing her celebrity partner Seann Walsh last week, sparking the comedian’s split from his long-term girlfriend.

Speaking on spin-off show It Takes Two, Katya has now addressed her marriage to husband Neil Jones, who is also a dancer on the BBC ballroom competition.

During a joint interview with Seann, Katya told host Zoe Ball: “I can’t apologise enough to everyone who’s been hurt and who’s been involved.

He said: “First of all, I would rather not be having to address this publicly but I feel like I have to.

“I made a mistake which I am very sorry for. You never think about the extent of the damage you cause when you make a mistake.”

Alluding to his ex, he continued: “I’m not perfect, far from it, our relationship wasn’t perfect, this doesn’t mean I wanted it to end the way that it ended.”

“It’s very important for me to get that out there.”
